Northern California National Forrests

These National Forests boasts a variety of hiking, fishing, camping, scenic driving and other outdoor recreational activities.

Want to see some of the finest wilderness areas in our country? Plan to hike in one or more of the seven National Forests of California. An example is the Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trailwhich is in the LASSEN NATIONAL FORESTa 25 mile trail that covers what was once the bed of the Southern Pacific railroad.An Interpretive Trail Guide and Map are offered at the Forest office.

 

 

Another fine trail is in the Plumas National Forest -a 75 mile hiking trail, crossing two major canyons called The Pacific Crest Trail.
