This photo is of a pond along the Airline Rail Trail from Pomfret, CT which starts near the Audubon Society farm and follows the abandoned railroad beds which passed through Abington, Hampton, and Chaplin areas.
Get to know three trails. The Hartman Park, a walk back in time;Day Pond Loop, which takes you along streams and over low hills and the Northern Nipmuck which winds through the woodlands and old tote roads.
