click and zoom in map showing trails maintained by the Game and Parks Commission
and other groups.
For
example, choose the bottom east corner of the Nebraska map to click and that
takes you to another map with greater detail. Click then on the red number
39 that says Indian Cave State Park. That takes you to an article on Indian
Cave Trails. This park has 36 miles of trails available. Most range in
distance from ¾ mile to 7 miles and wind up and down hills.
On
the opposite end - the far northwestern side of the Nebraska trails map -
click on Fort Robinson and see an article about that Fort’s trails.
Fort Robinson State Park
is one of the states largest and most historic. Sixty seven miles of trails
pass through its pine forest of ponderosa pines and through pastures of native
prairie grasses. Most of their trails are not well developed and are challenging.
