Here is another very nicely done site about hiking in Utah. At the top left margin of the sites page is a map of Utah that has names of areas of interest to hikers. Click on the dot by the name and you go to another nicely done page on that area. I clicked on the dot by Kings Peak and came to Kings Peak Trail with lots of nice links at the top of the page and a chart on the left with trail vitals such as distance 16 miles, time 2-3 days elevation gain 4,100 feet, difficulty 3, reference: Northeastern Utah, about 25 miles south of Evanston, WY. Then the page has sections on. directions, on maps, on who to contact for further info, on trail notes (several paragraphs) and special notes –all courtesy of Buck Tilton the author of Utah Hiking. The main page has links to weather, places to see, outdoor recreation, things to do, campgrounds, related articles, hiking, horseback packing and lots more. this is a very useful page for planning your hiking trip in Utah.

Fantastic
resource at this site for hiking in Utah or for reading about hiking in Utah!
David Day author of a guide to Utah hiking offers extensive excerpts from
his guide book. The table of contents is listed divided into two divisions
–north Utah and Southern Utah. Dozens and dozens of parks and areas
are linked to the most wonderfully done pages with very detailed descriptions
and very nice photos and lots of helpful info plus helpful links too. I rate
this one of the best helpful sites –as long as he has his excepts available.
His book is on sale and would be a "must have" for anyone hiking
regularly in Utah.
